Can this game save?????? How can something with save problems this bad be released and sold is beyond me. Probably best to move this elsewhere so it can get proper attention but, I'm having a little trouble exactly identifying your issue. Initially it sounds like no saves were being made - but then in the next post it sounds like you erased and copied a backup.

My initial guess would be that somehow the game is not running as an administrator, unless you have a weird redirection of your my documents folder? Jeroen View Profile View Posts. I've read most threads about the savegame troubles and really this needs to be fixed. A game shouldn't need administrator rights to save a file. People having their documents folder pointing to nirvana, alas, that is not your fault, but come on, some error checking shouldn't hurt.

I really wanted to buy this game, but if you can't guarantee a functioning savegame system, then I won't buy your game. My limited free time is precious enough that I don't want to waste it replaying several hours. I am glad though that you take such an active attitude in solving this problem, hopefully this will lead to a perfectly working save system, hopefully with more than one savegame slot.
