Spotify android not downloading songs

All forum topics Previous Topic Next Topic. Spotify won't download music. Casual Listener. Hi, I've been a premium Spotify user for several months now, and I have never had this problem before.

No matter which device I am logged into Spotify on, I can't download music. Last night I tried on my computer, turned Spotify off and back on, signed out and back in, uninstalled and reinstalled Spotify, and it still wouldn't download any new songs. However it did download all the songs I already had after I reinstalled it, so I'm very confused as to why I'm unable to download new songs.

My iPhone is having a much stranger problem. I can download songs only after signing out and back in, and the next time I open the app I usually find that they have un-downloaded themselves, along with some of the songs I already had. I've tried re-opening the app, signing out and back in, and reinstalling, but none of that fixes the problem. This is very frustrating for me, and it makes absolutely no sense.

Can Spotify please look into this problem? Everyone's tags 7 : confusing. Accepted Solutions. Community Legend. Everyone's tags 3 : device. Everyone's tags 2 : iOS. They now display as NOT available when I'm offline, which is very annoying because I'm starting a 4-week long trip. It seems like the songs are actually stored on my phone as the app as over 2GB is stored data. It is stored on my internal memory not an SD card , and I have room for around GB still on my phone.

This is a recurring issue to which Spotify has yet to address and even present a solution. Find below other people who had the exact same issue in the community. Apparently, this has been an unaddressed issue since more than 5 years ago, FIVE years!!! I have read those forums and followed the instructions of the moderator copied below , including the help link about troubleshooting bou still no luck. The problem still persists. I'm also not in a position to clear the data and start the download again and considering the songs are already stored on my phone, this would be very unproductive and time-consuming.

After you've checked the above, try these syncing instructions. Thanks for your help, community. I hope Spotify resolves this issue once and for good otherwise I will have to switch to a different app.
